Slow Birding with Kids ~On Demand Course~
Slow Birding with Kids ~On Demand Course~
Slow Birding with Kids is an on-demand course that is a combination of take-away activities and online videos to explore birds and connect with the outdoors. This course will allow you to go at your own pace, gain the tools needed to spend more time outdoors together, and get to know your bird neighbors! Five sessions each with a video and additional content designed for preschool to elementary-aged children.
Slow Birding with Kids
Slow Birding is an approach to connecting with nature through bird observation focused on place-based observations; slowing down and being in the moment with birds. For kids, we focus on what’s available to you right outside your door; building our sensory awareness skills together and using play as a way to get there. As a parent of three young children, I’ve paid close attention to what ignites my children’s curiosities about birds. During this course, I’ll share some of our favorite activities and adventures that we’ve enjoyed ourselves! Read more about Slow Birding here.
